Why We Built This Site
Edgefield County has several separate court record paths. The Clerk of Court's General Sessions page describes its circuit records, while Magistrate and municipal courts handle their own summary criminal, traffic, ordinance, and failure-to-appear matters. The Judicial Branch courthouse directory lists local court contact points. The Sheriff's Office serves warrants, but it is not the only place that keeps a related court file. South Carolina does not publish one public statewide warrant list that replaces those offices. A name search in a case index can help locate a file, but it is not a dedicated warrant confirmation. The county's FOIA form routes public-record requests to the office that holds the file.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a South Carolina court, sheriff's office, or state agency. There are real limits to what it can do:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or accept any kind of payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a warrant walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice or tell you how a specific warrant applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or procedure remains current
Only the issuing court or the Sheriff's Office can confirm a current warrant status or whether the court has recalled it. Use the contact route for the court or agency tied to the case.
Search Partners
Some search boxes on the site are run by outside providers. Those companies set their own prices and terms, and a paid signup may result in a referral fee that supports the site. The provider controls its own results and data practices. Its search is not an official Edgefield County warrant check; the issuing court or Sheriff's Office must confirm the status.
